Among the trees

Eric seems to have a very specific tree in mind, steering Athelstan down paths invisible to the human eye.

The tree turns out to be an oak, widespread and solid.

"Good choice", Athelstan says, studying it.

[onceaviking]

"You needn't fear falling," Eric murmurs.

[athelstanthescribe]

"With the tree on one side and you on the other."

He approaches it, leaning against it and looking at Eric.

[onceaviking]

"I was thinking," Eric says, stepping close, "that we should relocate. And enjoy the view."

And avoid nosy people passing by.

And make sure that nobody runs away.

[athelstanthescribe]

"Relocate to where?" He turns slightly to look around the tree.

[onceaviking]

Eric puts his arms around Athelstan's middle.

" Up," he says.

[athelstanthescribe]

His eyebrows go up again, but he smiles - only a small and hesitant one, but there.

"That would be a new experience."

[onceaviking]

"Hold on," Eric says.

[athelstanthescribe]

Obediently, he puts his arms tightly around Eric.

[onceaviking]

And they ascend, quickly and abruptly, landing on a branch a good ways up.

"There."

[athelstanthescribe]

It's a broad and secure branch, well chosen again.

"I may never get used to that."

[onceaviking]

"You're not supposed to get used to it," Eric says in a low tone of voice and bends his head down to breath in the warm scent of skin and life and blood.

[athelstanthescribe]

Athelstan tilts his head to make space for Eric.

"I'd be concerned if anyone said they were."

[onceaviking]

Eric just rumbles in reply and runs his cold lips across Athelstan's warm skin.

[athelstanthescribe]

Athelstan - is more passive than usual in accepting it, except for that movement to accommodate, but he does shiver pleasantly at the cold on his skin.

[onceaviking]

He lets his fangs down and repeats the motion, this time with tips of his fangs scratching along Athelstan's hot skin.

Even his breath is cold.

The sensation builds, layer on layer, and he makes a quiet sound.

"Eric."

[onceaviking]

A cold tongue follows the same path as the lips and the fangs.

[athelstanthescribe]

That gets a gasp that trails off into a sigh, despite himself.

[onceaviking]

Another slow lick.

And then Eric bites down.

[athelstanthescribe]

Athelstan's head falls to the side with a quiet moan, because the sensation of this never lessens.

[onceaviking]

He is pressed against the trunk by Eric's hard body, as he drinks, swallowing mouthful after mouthful of warm, sticky blood.

[athelstanthescribe]

He doesn't make the slightest move to stop Eric, just letting the waves of feeling wash over him.

[onceaviking]

And Eric drinks and drinks, pressing against Athelstan.

Hard.

[athelstanthescribe]

Athelstan isn't as hard, even Sinric's best efforts have taken time to get him there lately, but his body and vital signs are responding all the same.
