 Eric leads Orpheus up the stairs, one hand not on his back but on the back of his neck. Possessively.

This time, the room is furnished, with low chairs covered with wolf pelts and sheep skins, a brazier, and a table with a glass and a bottle. 

And a bed. Large enough to fit Eric comfortably and covered with crimson blankets.

Orpheus isn't entirely sure how he feels about that hand, but for the moment he'll allow it without protest. The experience of being fed on has yet to lose its thrill, and he feels he needs something to prove to himself he's not as attached as he sometimes thinks to a certain soldier.

When he sees the room, he laughs softly, mostly from surprise.

"Well, now. This brings back some memories."

"It does," Eric agrees. Quietly.

Then he shrugs off his shirt - and whatever the room made him think about - and gestures to the bottle and glass. "Please."

"Thank you," Orpheus says and moves to pour himself a glass and take a seat in one of the chairs.

Eric spends a little time getting to know the room better. He seems pleased when it turns out that what might have looked like curtains merely hide a cupboard.

In the half-light of the room, his skin looks almost white, as he moves about. And he is very quiet. Not only does he step lightly, but the absence of the little sounds humans make make for a curious quiet.

He inspects the bed as well and finding it to his liking he lies down on that, instead of picking the other chair.

Orpheus watches him, a bit amused. "Is it to your liking?" he asks, once the vampire is settled on the bed.

"It will do,"Eric rumbles.

The windows were his main concern.

"Will your - roommate be worried by bitemarks?" Yes, he is still amused.

[golden_lyre]

"Yes, probably," Orpheus says.

Then again, Steve is worried by all sorts of things that baffle Orpheus a bit.

"Then I had better be careful," Eric all but purrs, stretching.

"It is strange, though. I would have pegged you as someone disinclined to aquire a - roommate."

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus shrugs. "I've lived a long time. It happens on occasion."

He's not immune to loneliness.

[onceaviking]

Eric smiles.

"I suppose that is the way it is. For those who are immortal the way you are."

Human. In a way.

[golden_lyre]

"As opposed to those who are immortal the way you are?" Orpheus asks, smirking a bit.

[onceaviking]

"Yes," Eric replies with no hint of irony.

He knows there are some who get attached to humans they feed on. Personally, he does not see the appeal. all it does is introduce a weakness that others may take advantage of.

Then he pats the bed in a fairly clear 'Are you coming' gesture.

Orpheus shakes his head with a chuckle and pulls himself out of the chair to move to the bed. "Straight to business, hm?"

"Yes," Eric agrees again, moving just a little to leave room for Orpheus in front of him.

"I do not think there are any idea in false pretenses."

Unless you are actively trying to con someone. And they do both know why they are here.

Orpheus pulls off his shirt before climbing onto the bed.

"No, and I'm pretty sure we're both on the same page."

This time the reply is a murmured "Mmm," as Eric takes his wrist and turns it over, stroking the ppulsepoint once, lightly, with his thumb.

Then he drops fang and bites.

There is a trick to it when you're dealing with something as delicate as a wrist. Luckily, he is good at it. And it has been his impression that Orpheus likes to watch.

Now he can.

Eric's eyes are closed and his almost angelic features make a sharp contrast to the feel of his fangs and his tongue and his lips.

Orpheus' breath quickens immediately. He does very much like to watch, and his eyes dart between where Eric's fangs are sunk into his flesh and the expression on the vampire's face.

Eric slowly opens his eyes and looks up at Orpheus. They seem black, rather than blue; dark with hunger and bloodlust.

He pulls back a little to lick his lips, eyes still locked with Orpheus.

Orpheus' eyes are rather dark as well, blue blending into the black of his dilated pupils. He watches the trail of Eric's tongue.

Eric bends his head again and suckles the wounds. His hair tickles Orpheus' skin.

One of his hands is holding Orpheus' wrist in place, the other has ended up resting on Orpheus' thigh.

Orpheus lets out a low, pleased noise as he watches Eric. Almost without thinking, he parts his legs slightly.

And Eric's hand slowly glides to the inside of his thigh.
Slowly, slowly.

His full attention seems to be on the flowing blood.

Orpheus heartrate picks up. He reaches out a hand to brush Eric's hair back from his face so he can still see.

[onceaviking]

It's not unlike watching a very large, golden cat licking flesh off a bone.

He even makes small, pleased, purr-like sounds, deep in his throat.

His hand has stopped less than half an inch away from where Orpheus would likely want it to go.

Orpheus groans softly in frustration. His voice is slightly strained as he says, "Thought you were going to be rough."
