She opens the door behind her and walk him back inside with her, still kissing him.
She is kissing him.
Just one kiss and he promised her that he would be happy. And now they are raining down on him like the sweetest dew and she is moving back toward the couch (kicking off her slippers on the way) and his hand is touching the soft fabric of her dress and - yes. Yes he is happy.
They settle on the couch and he touches her, almost hesitantly.
Sookie is far more resolute, as she grabs hold of the hem of his top and pulls it off him, grinning a little.
It's the sweetest thing he has ever seen.
Her dress goes too and she lies there in her underwear, all beautiful and radiant and warm and alive.
He leans down and kisses her rib cage.
Then her belly.
Sookie lets her head fall back and moans -

Date: 2017-09-24 05:58 pm (UTC)"Besides, how are you the threat? You don't even want to hurt anyone."

Date: 2017-09-24 06:06 pm (UTC)His voice is quiet.
Soft.
"It's true that I don't want to hurt anyone. But I have. Even after - I killed Sookie's fairy godmother."

Date: 2017-09-24 06:32 pm (UTC)But Eric is unfortunately right about being under the witches' spell. Those in Marnie's circle were still free. They still might be able to do something to him, or Bill, or any other vampire they come across.
"Did you kill her by accident?" she asks about the fairy, because she has to admit, accidental killings can be problematic. Much better if they can be justified with intent, like revenge or something.

Date: 2017-09-24 06:47 pm (UTC)It just sounds awful when you put it that way.

Date: 2017-09-24 07:30 pm (UTC)No human is going to understand like another vampire would.
There are heavy footsteps approaching down the hall.

Date: 2017-09-24 07:33 pm (UTC)"I'll do what I can for you. I promise."
He ought to. Right?

Date: 2017-09-24 08:05 pm (UTC)A guard appears at their cell, a big, looming silhouette against the fluorescent lights.
"Dawn is approaching," he says in a nondescript tone. "His Majesty will announce his sentence at sunset."
He then turns and leaves.
"Not even a last meal," Pam mumbles halfheartedly. "Fuck you, Bill."

Date: 2017-09-24 08:13 pm (UTC)"Right. So - "
What do you say?
"I'm sorry I don't remember you. And that - that you've been hurt because of me."

Date: 2017-09-24 08:24 pm (UTC)Their bond may be gone, as gone as his memory of her, but at least he still cares. This Eric is too...good to not care.
"I wish I could've done more for you."

Date: 2017-09-24 08:28 pm (UTC)Awkwardly.
"You tried."
He doesn't want to die.
But as he just t's her, he doesn't want to be this vampire he doesn't remember being.

Date: 2017-09-24 09:46 pm (UTC)Pam slowly gets to her feet and drags her blanket to the bed.
"I should probably try to sleep," she says, gathering her long black mourning dress around her legs and lying down on the simple mattress. "I don't feel pieces falling off me when I'm asleep."
She throws the blanket over herself, including her head. To keep the smell down.

Date: 2017-09-25 04:58 am (UTC)Offering to cuddle just seems wrong. Also, he's afraid of her.
He sighs and closes his eyes.

Date: 2017-09-25 07:48 pm (UTC)Besides, she's too self-conscious about the state of her entire body.
As the sun climbs and the day drags along, Pam sort of halfway drifts into sleep. Not quite like death, not quite conscious. Blood tears still seep from her eyes as if she's crying within a dream.

Date: 2017-09-25 07:53 pm (UTC)Or a vampire.
No dreams.
No tears.

Date: 2017-09-25 08:28 pm (UTC)As soon as Pam rouses, she's immediately aware of how heavy her skin feels. She whimpers quietly.
This sucks.
And now Eric's going to die and she's going to die and everything is terrible.

Date: 2017-09-25 08:32 pm (UTC)It's a whisper.
Eric has been awake for a little while and he has been thinking.
"Pam? I'll ask the King to let you go once I've - after."
It's the right thing to do. He's sure the King will understand that.
"Do you have a place to go?"
He doesn't dare ask if she has anyone she can go to.

Date: 2017-09-25 08:39 pm (UTC)"Yes," she finally says, her voice cracked.
She has their home, she has Fangtasia.
Oh, god. Ginger. Shit.
Well. Nothing will matter if Bill doesn't let Pam go.
She lowers the blanket from her face but doesn't turn to look at Eric. She's hideous.
"Thank you."
The footsteps are coming again...

Date: 2017-09-25 08:49 pm (UTC)He doesn't look back at her.
This is it.

Date: 2017-09-25 08:56 pm (UTC)"Eric Northman, come with us. Don't resist."
They have machine guns and silver cuffs, but they won't use them on him if he comes peacefully.
Pam gets up and watches. She stays in the shadows, trying not to make a sound as she weeps.

Date: 2017-09-26 04:39 am (UTC)They really must think he is dangerous.
He turns his back and crosses his wrists. "You'd better cuff me," he says, quietly.
"Just in case."

Date: 2017-09-26 06:56 pm (UTC)Pam winces, and as she moves to the bars of the cell, another guard slams the door shut. She wants to call out to Eric, to tell him to go down fighting, to tear Bill's face off when he can-- but it wouldn't do any good. So she remain silent, watching the guards lead Eric away. And she braces herself for the moment she'll feel his true death.
The guards March Eric down the hall and up the stairs, and into the main room of Bill's mansion. A fourth guard joins them. He's holding an old, ornate box, about a foot and a half long. From there, they escort him outside.
There's a full moon tonight.
In the distance, wolves howl.
And Bill Compton is waiting on the front lawn.

Date: 2017-09-26 07:28 pm (UTC)It hurts.
But it's a small pain. And it will be over soon enough.
He doesn't look back at Pam. It wouldn't do any good.
He walks quietly, looking down at the ground as the guards lead him across the lawn. When they reach the King, one of the guards press down on his shoulder and he kneels.
Willingly.

Date: 2017-09-26 07:51 pm (UTC)Sookie's voice rings in Bill's ears as he waits in the moonlight for Eric to be brought to him.
She shouldn't involve herself in the affairs of vampires. And she was making herself a nuisance. So he had ordered the guards to arrest her if she ever set foot on his property again. It was for her own good.
This is what he keeps telling himself.
He'd spoken to Nan Flanagan, requesting a warrant to impose the True Death upon Eric Northman. With the witches still a threat, they could potentially control him, use him as a weapon. There was no other option.
This is wrong.
And you know it.
Bill turns around at the sound of footsteps, and watches Eric pad across the grass. He looks down at him as he kneels.
"You understand why you're here?"

Date: 2017-09-26 07:57 pm (UTC)"I've been told I'm under the spell of a necromancer," Eric replies, quietly.
He is a threat. A weapon.
This is the right thing to do.
Eric looks up at his King. Sad. Earnest.
"And that I consorted with your human."
He knows that now.
