Eric's room is cool and clean.

His bed is made with white and grey, and there's a tray with a carafe and a glass on a small table closer to it.

He steps inside and turns to face Ganymede with a hungry, eager expression.

Ganymede chuckles just alittle. "I can't go again that soon," he says softly, but he's willing enough to fit them together like intimate puzzle pieces. "You can drink," he encourages, fingernails gently scratching along the nape of his neck.

Eric shudders at that touch and then he dips his head down to run his lips along Ganymede's neck.

The bite is small and careful and he shallows wetly as his mouth fills with blood.

The sound Ganymede makes is half a sigh and half a soft tremulous moan, but he doesn't tense up this time. He doesn't have the energy to do much more than lie pliant and still, he and Eric entwined like lovers.

His fingertips and his toes are beginning to go cold.

"You don't have to stop," he murmurs quietly, melodic voice just a little too soft to be properly heard were Eric not given heightened senses as he is. "It won't hurt."

Eric makes a small, mewling sound and presses closer as he drinks deeply, caressing Ganymede's body.

Feeling hisblife under his fingertips and against his lips.

Ganymede makes all the efforts he can to stay still despite the all-too-human want to push Eric away as he can feel his blood being drained, tired as the muscles are. His heart beats faster, but he only strokes his fingers along Eric's shoulders.

"That's it, beautiful."

Eric drinks and drinks, eyes half closed, keeping an iron grip on his urge to tear Ganymede apart.

He keeps his touch soothing. Calming.
As he would if his prey had been coaxed and coerced, instead of willing.

Ganymede's blood is heady, not quite as intoxicating as that of fairies, but still Potent enough for him to feel it.

Ganymede's breath shudders out, rapid and shallow as his heart beats ever faster, trying to pump what blood he has left, though unsuccessfully. His head lolls back, resting heavy against the pillow as blackness begins to dance around the edges of his consciousness, skin turning cool and damp.

Eric shifts, so he can put his arms around him and pull him closer still.

His feeding is less hurried now, the pull of his mouth almost soft.

He can feel Ganymede's heartbeat reverberate in his own body now, can feel how he starts to slip.

It isn't long now; Ganymede stops making noise, his body goes lax and cool, his hands slip off Eric's shoulders.

There is still blood in him, but his organs are starting to shut down.

Blood looses its allure once the body is dead.
But they're not quite there yet and so Eric still suckles gently at the wound.

Feeling the process of Ganymede's death beneath his hands.

Ganymede barely makes a sound, nothing more than a soft exhale as he lips away into unconsciousness, soon into something infinitely harder to wake up from.

His fingertips twitch, and go limp with the rest of him.

Eric lets go of him and stretches, loosing himself in the sensation of being sated, in the gentle, golden buzz of Ganymede's blood.

He can almost sense a pulse within himself, beneath the hand stroking slowly up and down his chest and abdomen.

It's an illusion.
He doesn't care.

Ganymede is unmoving beside him; his chest no longer rises and falls with breath, his eyelashes don't flutter or lift. His fingers are utterly still. Death never does--never has--robbed him of his beauty, not even when the minutes trickle by and he still doesn't move.

Almost a quarter of an hour passes before he gasps back to life, to consciousness, the sudden return sending his heart kicking back to rhythm in his chest.

From the outside, it's only a little twitch before he blinks awake.

But to a vampire the sudden return of a heartbeat is a thundering din, the sudden circulation of blood.like the breaking of a dam.

Eric slowly turns his head to look at him.
His eyes are a little hazy.

(He hadn't been worried. - it had been quite a bit slower than he had expected, this whole revival thing).

There's no real way for him to predict how long it takes; sometimes it's only a minute or two, sometimes it's nearly an hour. It's why he rarely gives anyone a timeline, if they're aware that the conditions of his immortality extend that far.

Many people don't, and he doesn't disillusion them.

Ganymede reaches a hand out for Eric's cheek, brushing his thumb over the corner of his eyelashes. "Hello again," he murmurs.

"That's a neat trick," Eric murmurs, closing his eye at the touch.

He's retracted his fangs and as he lies here, he looks more human than vampire. Tethered even a slight flush in his cheeks.

It will be gone soon enough.

"Your cheeks are pink," Ganymede notes, brushing his fingertips over the skin.

"What you looked like as a human?" he asks, sliding closer to even the idea of warmth. Coming back always left him feeling cold longer than was pleasant.

"I wore my hair long," Eric murmurs as his eyelashes move against his cheekbones.

When Ganymede moves, Eric drapes a heavy arm across him. Pulling him close.

[the_cupbearer]

"As long as mine?" he asks, teasing as Eric pulls him close, settling into the curve of the vampire's body against his. "I can see you with a braid here or there."

[onceaviking]

Eric chuckles. It's a low, rumbly sound.

"Now quite. And I did, occasionally. When one of the girls wanted to braid it."

He caresses Ganymede's side with the tips if his fingers.

[the_cupbearer]

Ganymede likes that chuckle. He's not sure he's heard it before without the tint of something else.

"I could give you a tiny one," he says with a little tilt of a grin. "Right along here, if you like." He traces a fingertip through Eric's hair along his part line, where the hair is longest and would be easiest to plait back.

He can't claim to be a girl in any sense, but he's good at braiding. He's learned to be by now. "You'd be hansome."

"I'm not going to stop you," Eric murmurs.

He couldn't care less about braids - but he enjoys having his hair touched.

It's such a human thing, but he can allow himself to enjoy it now. Just for a little while.

Vampires are hunger.
When that hunger is sated, they are - briefly - adrift.

Calm.
Soft.
(almost gentle)

"Mmm. Maybe later," Ganymede says softly, carding his fingers through the soft blond strands. He leans in and kisses Eric gently, no hurry to it, just a comfortable press. It coul lead to more, but doesn't have to; he just cups his body into an against Eric's to feel the momentary warmth.

And Eric yields to the kiss, eyes closed, lips almost soft.

He splays his fingers on Ganymede's back, moving a fraction closer.

[the_cupbearer]

Ganymede lets Eric pull him in as they kiss, one leg slung over the vampire's hip; they might end up with Eric on top again, they might not.

But it is likely.
